Just a quick warning – today is the perfect day to exercise your BS detectors. Given the internet’s ability to pass a hoax on and on… today’s articles that are intended to be funny will be presented as fact tomorrow and the next day and so on and so on. Let the viewer beware.
This just in and it isn’t a load of hooey. The maple festival being in full swing here in new England was marred by the sudden death of some tree tappers. Apparently they overlooked some normally tapped trees which when left untapped, builds up pressure. The explosions were heard as far away as Boston, little was found of the men’s remains. Next time your having a pancake remember people have died to bring you that syrup.

Snopes.com can be an interesting fact-check site. They’ll sometimes track a rumor to its first appearance and that can be years ago. We keep falling for the same story over and over. I guess it shows how mysterious science is to most of us.

Yeah, people fall for these pranks long after April Fools Day. Someone tries to say science has proven such and such, you click the link, and it goes back to something dated April 1st.
